Jane Doe - Fun Paying It Forward Student Mentor

The Fun Paying It Forward (PIF) Student Mentoring program is about empowering kids by helping each of them realize that they can make a positive difference in other's lives. As a mentor in the program, students are able to help their fellow classmates with academics, extra-curricular activities and many of the other challenges facing young people today.

Jane, a sixteen year old at East High School, is a mentor to a thirteen year old student who attends a local middle school. Jane helps the younger student with her mathematics and science studies using a computer and learning software provided by ABC Inc. specifically for this mentoring program.

As part of their overall mission to maximize social change on a global scale, We, The World, The Assistance League of Southern California, The Volunteer Center of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Unified School District Volunteer Program are just a few of the many organizations that have partnered together to make positive change a reality. By bringing together corporate sponsors, non-profits and student mentors, WTW and our collaborative are able to inspire today's youth to turn good ideas into reality.
